Collagen Induction Therapy, also know as Microneedling involves using fine needles to create hundred of tiny puncture wounds in the top layer of the skin. It is arevolutionary treatment which aims to tighten, lift and rejuvenate skin. Mercia Beauty & Training Academy uses an automated pen device to deliver the treatment encouraging collagen renewal.
Collagen Induction Therapy will improve
- fine lines
- surgical, acne and trauma scars
- stretch marks
How it Works
Electronically powered needles vertically pierce the skin to enhance rejuvenation results, maintain skins firmness and reduce damage. The spring-loaded Dermafix needle tip uses an automated, stamp-like action, that enhances the absorption of topical solutions used during treatment and afterwards.
Collagen Induction Therapy is virtually painless and incredibly effective. The micro injuries stimulate the body’s natural wound healing process resulting in increased cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production, reversing the signs of ageing.
Unlike the derma roller Dermafix causes significantly less trauma to the skin. Treatments are much more comfortable, safer and effective. Mercia Beauty & Training Academy uses a bespoke cocktail of serums on the skin prior, during and after your treatment to ensure each treatment with up to 80% more product absorption the high grade serums help the skin reform and recover quicker with faster results.
All Dermafix needles are:
- Single Packed
- Single Use
- Spring Loaded
- Surgical Grade
Is there any downtime after treatments?
A:Generally no, but you may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Application of a mineral based make up for 72 hours is advised.
Q: How long should it take before I see results?
A:Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results will occur after 3 to 6 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart). Your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments and when combined with the recommended post treatment care.
Q: Is the treatment painful?
A:For minimum needle depths of 0.5mm the treatment is deemed painless, however if higher depths are used the treatment may feel more uncomfortable in some areas.
